Per Grazia Ricevuta / Naples
One Hundred Contemporary Visions of the Ex Voto
edited by Alberto Mattia Martini
Treasure Museum of San Gennaro
Naples Italy
After its success in Milan, the exhibition Per Grazia Ricevuta, curated by Alberto Mattia Martini, opens in Naples at the evocative Museum of the Treasure of San Gennaro. Over 120 contemporary artists – including Yves Klein, Mimmo Jodice, Mimmo Paladino, Michelangelo Pistoletto, Giulia Piscitelli, Roxy in the Box, Igor Mitoraj, Kazumasa Mizokami, etc. – reinterpret the theme of the ex voto, a timeless symbol of faith, hope, and rebirth.
A highlight of the exhibition is Yves Klein’s famous blue monochrome, donated in 1958 to the Monastery of Saint Rita of Cascia, on display in the Sacristy alongside works by Luca Giordano.
The exhibition unfolds throughout the museum, blending the sacred with the contemporary and inviting visitors into a powerful and immersive reflection.
